Description
This little flower bud shaped mug is one of my favourite forms for a strong morning coffee. This mug is made of a blend of NZ clays from Macs Mud. It was thrown, then faceted on the wheel, and thrown more to form the twist. The glazes are tenmoku liner, and the outer rim and foot are soda iridescent slip. The beautiful speckle grey of the body is the interaction of the clay with the soda applied during firing. I just love the movement of the slip on the rim, and the undulating rim.
Like all my mugs this is food safe, dishwasher safe and made with NZ clay. It is 7 cm high, and holds 120mL. Enjoy your favourite beverage in soda fired style.
