Turquoise Textured Mug

Description

This pretty grey and turquoise mug was textured with a roller on the wheel as it was thrown. It was glazed with Neils Smooth glaze to the inside surface, and on the outside with my turquoise glaze just on the rim and handle. It was fired to cone 10 in reduction with soda. The beautiful grey and brown tones on the body are the interaction of the soda with the raw clay – that being a NZ clay blend of Macs Mud buff stoneware and classic white. There are also some gorgeous blue/turquoise drips, and some subtle crystals on the inside surface.

Like all my mugs this is food safe and dishwasher safe. This one is 7cm tall, and holds 200mL. Enjoy your morning coffee in style!
